a bit about it

No added scents, just the natural smells of the ingredients used, cause if you’re irritated we don’t want to risk or cause that breakout fear!

Apply lotion topically to clean dry skin (face and/or body), as required to keep skin moist and healthy. Use daily and layer it with our regular moisturiser to lock in extra hydration.

Aqua (Water), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Borago Officinalis (Starflower) Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Fresh Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Liquid Extract, Matricaria Chamomilla (Chamomile) Liquid Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol (Coconut-Derived Blending Wax), Squalane (Olive), Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Piroctone Olamine (Preserving Salt), Allantoin (Comfrey Root Extract), Lecithin-Hydrogenated, Xanthan Gum (Food Grade Thickener), Tocopheryl Acetate (Natural Vitamin E), Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract.

  • Aloe Vera Juice, hydrating and anti-inflammatory, the juice from the Aloe leaf is a super star for soothing skin.
  • Starflower  (Borage) Seed Oil, clinically shown to be effective in treating skin disorders, alleviating inflammatory symptoms such as redness, moisture loss, dry, itchy & irritated skin
  • Coconut Oil has a unique fatty acid profile which is amazing for dry skin. It also has anti-fungal & wound healing properties.
  • Rice Bran Oil is gentle and soothes, hydrates and protects the skin.
  • Evening Primrose Oil, moisturises, soothes, enhances texture and elasticity of the skin.
  • Fresh Licorice Root Extract is used to treat a variety of skin conditions like eczema and acne with it’s skin soothing properties.
  • Gotu Kola Extract boosts collagen and decreases inflammation
  • Chamomile Extract commonly used to treat eczema, psoriasis and rosacea. Chamomile can get deep into the skin working as an anti-inflammatory to soothe skin irritations.
  • Olive Squalene helps deeply moisturiser without leaving a greasy, oily finish while smoothing out and softening skin texture.
  • Natural Vitamin E, with high antioxidant levels Vitamin E is not only a hydrating solution for dry skin it also boasts anti-ageing benefits, neutralising the effects of free radicals linked to premature ageing.
  • Comfrey Root Extract, revives tired skin, reduces inflation and promotes skin cell turnover assisting in anti-ageing.

  • Fragrance or Perfume, synthetic scents can cause skin irritation just as some essential oils alone can (and why we mix small amounts of natural oils together)
  • Lanolin, although proven effective for hydrating it’s derived from sheep and has been known to irritate sensitive skin or cause allergic directions. Some research also shows traces of cancer-causing pesticides in lanolin.
  • Petroleum derived oils, because harvesting petroleum is bad for our environment.
  • Steroid creams like hydrocortisone that can cause skin thinning over time, stretch marks or folliculitis.
  • Propylene Glycol is used to increase moisturiser retention in some moisturisers but it can be toxic, its effects can vary depending on the dose. As it absorbs moisture from anything around it and penetrates it deep into the skin it can harm the lipid barrier of your skin, causing irritation. Severe effects can include nausea, vertigo and even seizures.
  • Silicones don’t provide any tangible long term benefit for your skin (unless you’re dealing with a wound or burn), therefore they have no purpose in your moisturiser. They’re also difficult to wash off, but when you do wash them off they contribute to the build up of pollution in oceans and waterways. They create a barrier, so they can trap dead skin-cells, oil and dirt as well as block other ingredients from doing their job if you’re into skincare layering.
  • Parabens, these nasty little ingredients can cause contact dermatitis or skin irritations. Some studies also state they can elevate cellular level damage caused by UV exposure leading to skin cancer and scientists have concerns they can also disrupt hormones harming the body.

"Excellent product for early treatment of irritated skin. If an eczema spot arises I use it straight away and it resolves. I have used it after being bitten while gardening and it stopped itching and the red bite disappeared after a couple of days of use."
